StoneAge Steve is perhaps best known today for being the shipwrecked drummer for the virtual (and virtually unknown) band - The Surfivors
Discovered in 1868, the Altamira Cave in Spain held the first examples of Stone Age art that had been found in Europe …. The paintings were  so detailed, and of such a high quality that to begin
with there were doubts about their authenticity - but by 1902 they were accepted  as genuine. And now, an exciting new discovery has thrown some light on who the original artist was.
However, whilst taking part in the  TV programme “Who do you think you are looking at”  Steve was  astonished to discover how far  back his family tree went.
Researchers working for the television programme cleaned off  a bit of dirt in the bottom right hand corner of one  of the paintings  to reveal the details……
Of course there are sceptics,  just as there were about the original discovery of the paintings. However, you’ve only got to look at the resemblance to realise that the evidence is indisputable. Steve was obviously a bit of a legend  in his day, and even had a comic devoted to him Convinced that he had a duty to maintain a long line of artistic trend setters, Steve set up  StoneAge Steve Productions, where he acts as CEO, Finance Director, Artistic Director and Musical Director.  He doesn’t do much in the afternoons.
